The $100,000 Forward Gal Stakes will run as Race 9 on the Jan. 30 card at Gulfstream Park.
The event for 3-year-old fillies will cover seven furlongs and include names like Competitive Speed, Queen Arella, and Lady Traveler among the field of eight.

Betting Preview: Competitive Speed, Queen Arella
One of the leading runners coming into the race is John Minchello’s Competitive Speed. The Competitive Edge filly is trained by Javier Gonzalez.
She has a career record of 3-0-0 from four starts and earnings of $76,995. She already has one win from one start in 2021.
That victory came back on Jan. 2 in the Glitter Woman Stakes at Gulfstream Park. To close out her 2020 season, the filly scored a Dec. 6 starter optional claiming race at the track. Her other performances include a Nov. 12 maiden claiming victory at Gulfstream Park West and sixth in an Oct. 31 maiden special weight race there as well.
Competitive Speed will break from post 3 under rider Leonel Reyes.
She will be up against J Stables’ Queen Arella. The Speightster filly is trained by Roderick R. Rodriguez.
She is 1-0-0 from three career starts with earnings of $32,500.
Last time out, she finished sixth in the Sept. 4 Seeking the Ante Stakes at Saratoga, which followed a fifth-place run in the July 16 Schuylerville Stakes (G3) at the track. Her other performance was a May 29 maiden special weight win at Gulfstream Park.
Queen Arella will break from post 4 under jockey Junior Alvarado.
Betting Preview: Lady Traveler, Dial to Win
Another runner to look out for is Lady Traveler, owned by West Point Thoroughbreds, John Ballantyne, William Freeman, and Michael Valdes. The Quality Road filly is trained by Dale Romans.
She is 1-1-1 from four career starts with earnings of $73,524.
The filly finished eighth last time out in the Nov. 28 Golden Rod Stakes (G2) at Churchill Downs, which followed a runner-up effort in the Oct. 25 Rags to Riches Overnight Stakes at the track. She also scored a Sept. 27 maiden special weight race and finished third in another on Sept. 4 at the track.
Lady Traveler will break from post 6 under rider Corey Lanerie.
Sea Gull Capital’s Dial to Win will also be among the field. The Dialed In filly is trained by Timothy Hills.
She has a career record of 1-1-0 from four starts and earnings of $33,827.
Her one 2021 outing was a fifth-place finish in the Jan. 2 Glitter Woman, and she closed out her 2020 season with a Nov. 21 maiden special weight win at Gulfstream Park West.
Dial to Win will break from post 5 under Paco Lopez.
