Pick of the Day – 9/26/20 (Saturday)

Record: 21-21 (Streak W) Down 0.76u over 42 KBO picks (Up 4.45 units over last 25 KBO picks)

Last: Samsung +145 at Doosan (Samsung came through this time with a 4-3 come-from-behind win for some sweet plus money.)

Pick: NC at Hanwha (+2.5 -108), KBO Baseball, 4:00am ET

NC is 9-1 over their last 10, and just swept LG. Hanwha has won 5 in a row, and just swept Lotte. NC’s starter had a great bounce back start last time out going 6 scoreless on 6 H with 7 K in 6 IP against Lotte. That comes off of two starts where he gave up a total of 11 runs (9 ER) in 12 IP. Against Hanwha last month, he allowed 4 ER on 6 H in 5 IP. Hanwha’s starter has allowed 3 or fewer ER in 9 of the last 10 starts. Against NC last month he allowed 3 ER on 2 H and 5 BB in 5.2 IP. He’s had some control issues at times, but over his last 4 starts, he has 25 K to just 8 BB. This is a matchup of the two hottest teams in the KBO. Who would have imagined Hanwha would ever be included in that sentence? The Dinos are huge favorites (-278) and that’s not a surprise considering it’s the 1st place team against the last place team. But the Eagles are 9-7-1 in their last 17 games and they’ve been an underdog every time they’ve won. I think it’s possible the oddsmakers haven’t caught up to Hanwha’s recent good play. And with an O/U of just 9.5 runs, there’s a chance this one will be low-scoring. In that case, Hanwha certainly has a better than 3 in 10 chance to win this game, so there’s some value there. I’m recommending the alternate run line (+2.5) for Hanwha, but I’ll be putting a few bucks on the standard run line (+1.5 for +145) and moneyline (+220), too.

Tail or fade, I wish you the best of luck. For the rest of my KBO picks, feel free to head on over to the KBO thread right here.
