Stars Aim to Continue Perfect Start to Season
The Dallas Stars are underdogs in their match up against the Carolina Hurricanes and this is an opportunity you need to consider. The Stars got a late start to the season due to COVID-19 issues, but have won four straight since finally getting on to the ice.
They have scored 19 goals and allowed only six, making them one of the most dominant teams in the early going. Six different players are averaging at least a point per game, none better than veteran Joe Pavelski. He’s tallied four goals and five assists and has been the biggest key to their unblemished record.

While Pavelski has been the key cog on offense, Anton Khudobin picked up right where he left off last season. He led the Stars to the Stanley Cup final and has been every bit as good so far. He’s sporting a 3-0 record with a 0.99 GAA and .958 SV%.
To think, there was a time the Stars weighed letting him walk in free agency. Considering Khudobin inked an extension worth only $3.33 million per season, I’d say Dallas did quite well. Trust Khudobin and the offense led by Pavelski to get the job done on the road in Carolina.
The Pick: Dallas Stars Moneyline (+112)
McDavid & Draisaitl Not Enough For Ice Cold Oilers
New year, new me? Not in Edmonton. Superstar forwards Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl lead the league in scoring and the Oilers still can’t win hockey games. They have only three wins in nine games despite a combined 27 points from McDavid and Draisaitl. All of this is to say, the rest of the roster is so weak that even two red hot players don’t seem to be enough to drag them to victories.

Saturday night they’ll take on the Toronto Maple Leafs who are listed as slim favorites. Auston Matthews has scored in four straight games and Mitch Marner is among the league leaders with 13 points in nine games. Unlike the Oilers dynamic duo, they are getting more than enough help from their teammates and own a 7-2-0 record on the season.
Toronto is 2-1-0 against Edmonton this year and should be able to rely on their deep lineup to add another notch in the win column. The fact the Maple Leafs will only cost you -127 is a blessing, take advantage and place your wager sooner rather than later.
The Pick: Toronto Maple Leafs Moneyline (-127)
