TITLE: Corporate Sales Account Executive
DEPARTMENT: Convention & Hotel Sales / Sales & Marketing REPORTS TO: Convention & Hotel Sales Manager
SUPERVISES: N/A EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS PROFILE: Two years experience in Convention Sales/Hospitality industry. Outside sales required. Person-to-person sales, direct telemarketing sales and negotiating skills are needed. Good math aptitude needed to calculate food portions, food costs, room capacities and set-up. Excellent written communication and organizational skills a must. SCOPE: Development of accounts in the delegated area to attract convention and hotel lodging customers. Promotes drive-in business and books conventions, meetings, banquets and hotel rooms. Primary focus: Mid-week and off-season periods. Some traveling required due to trade shows and off-property sales calls.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Development of relationships with focus on key corporations and associations. To develop market awareness of Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel convention/meetings banquet facilities and hotel accommodations. 2. Convert those relationships with accounts into leads which will convert into definite bookings of meetings, conventions and banquets. 3. Ability to weigh a groups gaming potential in evaluating a prospective group’s complete worth before quoting rates. 4. Ability to negotiate with all levels. 5. Ability to clarify and understand clients needs and communicate those needs correctly to main office in booking process. 6. Primary market penetration: To be determined by Convention & Hotel Sales Manager 7. Execute outside sales calls and phone solicitations to generate, and qualify leads 8. Execution of leads through to the signed contract stage. Communication of all pertinent details to on-site coordinator for follow-through. 9. Perform on property site inspections as required to book business. 10. Attend Trade Shows as assigned and will include overnight travel.

Attend local civic organizations mixers/meetings and special events to generate market awareness and generate future sales. 12. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 13. Regular attendance necessary. 14. Regular punctuality necessary. 15. Available and willing to work any changes in hours at anytime during employment.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES: 1. Strong background in hospitality sales and/or catering sales. 2. Clear understanding of different aspects of banquet set up, menu pricing presentations and meeting planning. 3. Self Starter, ability to work independently. 4. Strong Organizational and Communication skills. 5. Relates well to all levels. 6. Computer literacy required. Knowledge of Miracle software helpful.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Able to work under stressful conditions. 2. Able to drive. 3. Able to work weekends and holidays as needed. 4. Able to travel. 5. Normal mobility in and out of primary work area.
